Mud Racin'

Here are a few pictures from the May 17, 2003 Mud Drags. These are by no means meant to cover the whole the event, just to demostrate why you need to stop on out and see the action. Or better yet, compete in the action! That day we had 168 entries total, and we raced from about 12:30 to 5:30.

Weather was perfect, it didn't rain, so watching was very enjoyable, and it stayed overcast, so the track stayed nice, wet, and muddy. Spectators started coming in a bit early to get the best seats. As many spectators as we ended up having, there is still more parking, so don't worry about that.

This year was the first semi-annual Show & Shine contest we decided to hold for the people to want to show off, but don't want to break anything. Audience gets to vote on their favorite truck(what? you didn't think it was a CAR show, did ya?). A very simple philosophy guided the judging in this show, everyone picks their favortite truck, and the truck that turns the most heads, wins. We had seven trucks this time, but who knows once the word gets out?
