Mud Drag Rules

General Rules:

Drivers must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license to compete. Drivers age 16 or 17 may be able to participate with proof of parental consent. Parent must be present at registration and race time.

The following are Mandatory Requirements in ALL Classes:

  1. Rules, decisions and situations not covered in the rules will be determined by the GREEN BAY HIGH RIDERS LTD. Rules and decisions are final and binding.
  2. The GREEN BAY HIGH RIDERS LTD. Reserves the right to change and/or modify the rules at any time.
  3. FRONT AND REAR TOW HOOKS, CLEVIS, AND PROPERLY MOUNTED BATTERIES REQUIRED.
  4. Helmets must be worn and fastened during racing.
  5. Seat and seat belts must be in proper working order and securely mounted. Seat belts must be worn during racing.
  6. All drivers are required to wear long pants and long sleeved shirts in "open doored" vehicles. Closed footwear required.
  7. No radiator cooling systems, batteries, fuel tanks or cells in the drivers compartment unless covered properly and securely mounted.
  8. Fuel cells must be SFI approved. No boat tanks.
  9. 4-wheel operating brake system with foot pedal. Driveline brakes are allowed. Pinion brakes require 2 (1 per axle).
  10. No unsecured items inside or outside of the vehicle.
  11. All tires must be D.O.T. approved. See class descriptions for tires allowed per class.
  12. Trucks with stock dual wheels will be allowed to race.
  13. A vehicles windshield, floorboards, interior, engine and wheel covering must be intact per class rules.
  14. Any vehicle that is gutted must meet ALL Pro class rules.
  15. Vehicles removing the top must have a securely mounted 4-point roll bar or 6-point roll cage. Fiberglass bodied vehicles must have frame mounted 6-point roll cage. No galvanized aluminum or cast iron pipe allowed for any roll bars or cages.
  16. Three trucks will complete a class. One driver per vehicle per class.
  17. Any vehicle determined to be unsafe or unsuitable for racing will not be allowed to compete.
  18. Classes can be jumped "up" not "down" per class rules.
  19. If a racer fails to appear at the line when required to make their pass, a 5 minute time limit will be placed on the racer. At the end of the 5 minutes, the pass will be forfeited. The timer will keep the control of the 5 minute clock.
  20. A red light on the timing system will result in a loss of the run for that lane.
  21. Ties will be determined by adding both lane times together.
  22. Protest—protest must be filed by a fellow class entrant or tech committee before the protested entrant runs.
  23. Anyone caught cheating will be disqualified.
  24. Any horseplay (throwing objects, reckless driving etc…) or general misconduct before or during the race will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.
  25. Any driver and/or pit crewmembers found to be under the influence of, or in the possession of alcoholic beverages or drugs, regardless of the amount, will be ejected from the event. Such conditions are cause for suspension or revocation of competition privileges. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS IN THE PITS.
  26. Vacuum will be measured off a direct manifold port @ 1000 rpm.
  27. NO refunds of registration fees.
